  • Walnuts: Walnuts are the healthiest of all the nuts. They contain the most antioxidants compared to any other nut and they are an excellent source of plant omega-3 fatty acids which makes them an incredibly valuable inclusion for those following a plant-based diet.
  • Dates: Put pitted dates in a bowl and cover them with water. Soak at room temperature for a couple of hours or until soft. Once soft, drain dates really well – you can use a fork to remove any excess water.
  • Desiccated coconut: Both fine or medium desiccated dried coconut work for this recipe.

How to make it

Soaking dates: Put pitted dates in a bowl and cover them with water. Soak at room temperature for a couple of hours or until soft. Once soft, drain dates really well – you can use a fork to remove any excess water.

Step 1

Place walnuts into the food processor and mix for 30 seconds or until coarsely chopped.

Step 2

Add in dates and shredded coconut, and process until all is well combined (you will need to stop and scrape the sides as needed).

Step 3

Roll the mixture into small balls and roll each ball in shredded coconut to coat.

Note: You should get about 22 bliss balls out of this recipe (depending on how big or small you make them).

Step 4

Enjoy immediately or store in the refrigerator.
