Notes on ingredients
- Walnuts: Walnuts are the healthiest of all the nuts. They contain the most antioxidants compared to any other nut and they are an excellent source of plant omega-3 fatty acids which makes them an incredibly valuable inclusion for those following a plant-based diet.
- Dates: Put pitted dates in a bowl and cover them with water. Soak at room temperature for a couple of hours or until soft. Once soft, drain dates really well – you can use a fork to remove any excess water.
- Desiccated coconut: Both fine or medium desiccated dried coconut work for this recipe.
