  • Silken tofu: You must use silken tofu for this recipe. Silken tofu has a softer consistency than regular tofu and feels more like solidified pudding or custard.
  • Date syrup: You can substitute it with maple or agave syrup.
  • Dark chocolate: Choose good quality dark chocolate with rich and creamy texture. I used dairy-free 70% dark chocolate.

Make sure that the silken tofu and melted chocolate are at room temperature.

Step 1

Melt chocolate in a small pot over low heat. Stir until smooth. Set aside to cool at room temperature.

Step 2

Place silken tofu, date syrup, and melted chocolate into a high-speed blender or a food processor. Blend briefly until smooth.

Step 3

Transfer the mousse into jars and store in the fridge for about an hour before serving.

Step 4

If desired, add toppings of your choice (berries, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, fresh mint).
